compareDocs Produces the Best “Go-Forward” Track Changes Document at Word Excellence Day

February 20, 2013—DocsCorp, a global leader in document integration technology and productivity software for enterprise content management systems, is proud to announce the results from the Document Vendor Forum document comparison "shootout" at the annual Word Excellence Day event, at which compareDocs was scored significantly higher than Litera and Workshare.

This year the Document Vendor Forum focused on document comparison and specifically how MS Word comparison "compares" to offerings from DocsCorp, Litera and Workshare. While comparison accuracy was observed, the group examined the process and results of saving the comparison document as a track changes document.

DocsCorp’s compareDocs product was judged to be the best of the 3rd party providers in producing a working track changes document – a document that the user could continue to modify, use and share with others. The audience and panel also generally agreed that in terms of document comparison ‘accuracy,’ MS Word built-in comparison features were not as reliable as any of the 3rd party document comparison solutions examined at the shootout.

The Word Excellence Day event brings together document production and technology experts from within law and other professional services firms, to discuss best practice and emerging trends in the use of MS Word for document production. This year’s event was held on January 17, 2013 in London.
