2 February 2016 —DocsCorp, (www.docscorp.com), a global leader in document productivity software for document management professionals, today announced at LegalTech in New York the release of an enhanced integration between its suite of document productivity tools for PDF creation and editing, document comparison and metadata removal with iManage Work 9.3 and iManage Share.
iManage Work and iManage Share are leading work product management solutions for professionals. iManage Share is the fastest and easiest way to secure share work product, such as documents, images and spreadsheets, from inside iManage Work. iManage Share fully integrates with iManage Work, Microsoft Outlook and the key legal productivity tools from DocsCorp, such as cleanDocs, to enable users to share and collaborate on business-critical documents in a way that maintains security and complies with industry standards on data governance, including audit control and tracking.
cleanDocs integrates directly into iManage’s powerful external collaboration workflow, providing an automated way to remove metadata as part of the file sharing workflow. Users simply select Copy to Client Folder or Send Secure Link Email, and the document is immediately cleaned and sent, all in the one action. In all workflows, cleanDocs automatically removes the metadata, eliminating the risk of harmful metadata in documents while significantly reducing the time it takes to clean documents. This frees up valuable staff time for billable work.
Metadata removal at sub-second speeds
cleanDocs is a breakthrough technology that cleans documents at sub-second speeds. It is able to achieve this through binary level and multi-thread processing.
Binary level processing – cleanDocs does not need to open the authoring application. In fact, the user does not need to have the application. Instead, cleanDocs analyzes and cleans the documents at the binary or direct file level.
Multi-thread processing – cleanDocs also takes full advantage of multi-thread processing, supporting all available cores. For example, on an 8-core CPU it can process up to 8 documents at a time to make light work of large batch cleaning operations. cleanDocs supports 4, 8, 16 and 32 CPU cores.
Jacqueline Toepfer, Sr. Product Manager iManage Share, commented, “the cleanDocs integration with iManage increases its value for our users while satisfying professional services organization’s data governance and security needs when sharing documents. In short, it’s a win for users and clients.”
“We are delighted to provide this level of integration into the iManage Share collaboration workflow, removing document metadata as an integral part of the collaboration process rather than being another step that users have to perform,” says Shane Barnett, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at DocsCorp.
The DocsCorp document productivity suite integrates with the new iManage 9.3 release. In addition to cleanDocs, the following products provide a similar level of integration with iManage:
compareDocs - the world’s leading technology for comparing and analyzing the differences between two documents with incredible accuracy and reliability across all document types.
contentCrawler - an integrated analysis, processing and reporting framework that can automate bulk processing services such as OCR and compression across iManage libraries.
pdfDocs - a project-centric PDF management application that delivers higher levels of efficiency and productivity when assembling, editing and distributing business-critical documents securely as PDF or PDF/A.
DocsCorp provides document professionals who use enterprise content management systems with integrated, easy-to-use software and services that extend document processing, review, manipulation and publishing workflows inside and outside their environment to drive business efficiency and to increase the value of their existing technology investment.
