DocsCorp integrates its pdfDocs productivity suite with ProLaw

Portland, OR - November 4, 2010

DocsCorp, a leader in PDF integration and workflow technology for law firms globally, today announced it has significantly expanded its integration capability to include ProLaw (part of Thomson Reuters), the financial and case management system for small to mid-size law firms and corporate legal departments.

Commenting on the ProLaw integration, DocsCorp President Dean Sappey said “we are happy to welcome ProLaw users to the DocsCorp family. Our mission is to develop solutions that integrate into and add value to core legal applications such as ProLaw without requiring a lot of training and change management. Integration should not only be seamless, it should also be as painless as possible.”

“ProLaw is used by a significant number of small to mid-size law firms,” Sappey went on “and we believe the pdfDocs Solutions Suite (pdfDocs Desktop, compareDocs, formFiller) is the first cost-effective, unified PDF management and document comparison solution of its type for law firms of this size."

PDF management and more
pdfDocs Desktop enables ProLaw users to create industry-standard PDF documents with drag-and-drop ease; combine documents from different applications into a single, secure PDF. Users can edit, mark up, redact sensitive information and save the final document back into ProLaw. Bates numbers can also be added to documents.

pdfDocs will reduce the risk of your e-filing being rejected by the courts: automatically split PDFs based on size or page number to comply with court requirements; produce PDFs that are 100% compliant with the USPTO; produce PDF/A documents.

pdfDocs Desktop automates the process of creating Closing Books; converting documents to PDF and generating an interactive table of contents, bookmarks and links.

Document comparison with a difference
Using the world’s leading document comparison technology, compareDocs will compare any two documents irrespective of document type (Word to Word, PDF to PDF, Word to PDF). Integration will enable users to compare documents in ProLaw, saving the comparison report also into ProLaw.

Form filling and saving
pdfDocs formFiller allows users to fill in and save PDF forms to any location. In addition to entering data into the form, users can email, print or save the form directly into ProLaw.

Out-of-the-box integration
In addition to ProLaw, the pdfDocs Solution Suite integrates with MS Office Productivity Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS SharePoint and leading document management systems out of the box without require special connectors or plug-ins.

DocsCorp integrates with Autonomy iManage, NetDocuments, Open Text ECM (eDOCS and Content Server), DOCS Open and Worldox.
