DocsCorp, a global leader in content and information management and workflow, today announced that Wright Hassall LLP, a leading law firm in the Midlands in the UK, have selected the pdfDocs Solutions Suite and Metadata Assistant to manage their business-critical documents.
Seamless integration into Interwoven WorkSite
Commenting on the decision to go with DocsCorp, Matthew Cleverdon, IT Director at Wright Hassall, said “seamless integration was critical to the Wright Hassall’s decision. Staff really liked the tight pdfDocs integration with our Interwoven document management system -- they actually thought that the solution was one product!”
pdfDocs provides law firms direct integration into document management systems right out the box -- no special connectors or plug-ins are required. The result is a seamless, integrated workflow that delivers significant efficiency and productivity gains.
For example, users simply right-click on a document in Interwoven to create a PDF as a new document, a new version or as a related document. Within Microsoft Word, they can save the current document directly into the client matter as a PDF. Or, combine external documents into a single, collated document, which can then be profiled into Interwoven directly from pdfDocs Desktop.
David Woolstencroft, DocsCorp President Worldwide Sales and Marketing, emphasised the importance of integration into legal applications, processes and systems. “Our mission has always been to develop solutions that integrate into and add value to core business applications without requiring a lot of training and change management. Integration should not only be seamless, it should also be as painless as possible.”
The right tools for legal workflow
Cleverdon went on to say that “the pdfDocs Solutions Suite gives everyone in the firm a robust set of tools to manage their workflow whether it is PDF creation, document comparison, PDF forms, OCR or metadata cleansing.”
In terms of PDF creation and management, all staff can create industry-standard PDF documents with drag-and-drop ease; combine documents from different applications into a single, secure PDF; edit, mark up, redact sensitive information and automatically split PDFs based on size or page number for e-Filing. MS Office attachments can be automatically (or user prompted) converted to PDF for additional security. Bates numbers can also be added to documents as well as information such as DOC ID, author and version from Interwoven.
The pdfDocs Binder technology automates the process of creating CD Bibles or Court Bundles, complete with interactive table of contents, bookmarks and links. Users can create templates to reduce workload and increase productivity.
The pdfDocs Solutions Suite
The pdfDocs Solutions Suite is designed specifically for law firms and for legal workflow. It integrates into core legal applications (MS Office), processes and systems (Interwoven, NetDocuments, Open Text, Worldox) to deliver higher levels of efficiency, productivity and security for law firms at a cost that is significantly less than any other solution. |
