  • Adobe Reader 5.1 or later (free download from Adobe)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later
  • Administrator rights to the workstation (for purposes of installation)

pdfDocs Desktop
  • pdfDocs is installed on each individual workstation that requires it (except in a terminal server/citrix server system)
  • The installer files i.e. dotnetfx.exe and pdfDocsinst1-x-x.msi, are placed on a network folder for ease of installation to each workstation and for licensing purposes
  • Please download and read full installation instructions carefully when installing pdfDocs. Call Support if you are unsure about any step
  • Specific integration guides for various integrated systems are available
  • (Optional) Word 2000 or above required for Word Add-ins - integration, Word to PDF
  • (Optional) Excel 2000 or above required for Excel Add-ins - integration
  • (Optional) MAPI Compliant mail system required for email option to function e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes
pdfDocs OCR Server
  • Intel Pentium III or higher processor or equivalent
  • Non-dedicated file server, with at least 256MB RAM available for OCR process and 200MB free disk space
  • OCR Server supports up to 100 pdfDocs Desktop workstations, with a recommended capacity of 75,000 pages per month
  • Supports multi-server implementations
  • pdfDocs Desktop software connects to pdfDocs OCR Server via TCP/IP protocol using Microsoft .NET remoting technology
pdfDocs formFiller
  • Supports XP Fast user switching and multiple user sessions
  • Supports installation via Active Directory or other network rollout products
  • Adobe Reader 6.0 or higher must be installed
DATManager
  • Licensed versions of MYOB Accounting, Accounting Plus or Premier are required
  • Versions 10, 10.5, 11, 12, 12.5, 13, 13.5 and 14 are supported in MYOB Accounting
  • Versions 4, 4.5, 5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8 are supported in MYOB Premier
  • MYOB ODBC is required (v4 is preferred - this is provided by MYOB with MYOB 14 or above)
QBManager
  • Licensed versions of Quickbooks are required
  • Versions 7.4, 8, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2004 Lite are supported
Notes on Terminal Server / Citrix installations
  • On Terminal Server/Citrix server sites please install pdfDocs & DAT Manager to a physical drive e.g. c: drive. Do not install on mapped drive
  • On request DocsCorp can provide information to your system administrator to optimise memory usage of pdfDocs on a terminal server/citrix server.
