Make changes to your scanned documents quickly and easily. See how automatic text recognition in pdfDocs unlocks the content in your scanned documents with no conversion to Word needed.
Edit your scanned documents
We use more than just Word and PDF files to communicate and collaborate. Often its photos of handwritten notes or scanned documents that cross our desks and hit our inboxes. Since these are image-based files, they lack the text layer needed for editing, highlighting, search, and indexing. Worst case scenario, it means recreating the entire document from scratch in Word or Excel just to continue with the next working version.
pdfDocs has an in-built Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality, that automatically recognizes text in your scanned documents. It creates a text layer so you can edit and change the contents of your PDF without needing to recreate it.
Automate the conversion of scanned files
Simplify the process of converting your scanned files to editable PDFs by setting up Watch Folders. These are folders in your document management system or local file network which pdfDocs monitors. Every newly added scanned file will be analyzed and, for each file that requires it, pdfDocs can automatically convert it to a text-editable PDF.
These PDFs can be imported into existing projects or exported to a document repository, cloud site, or straight to email. See how to set up Watch Folders step-by-step here.
